Asia Pacific Welcomes Hotel Indigo Brand

InterContinental Hotels Group is bringing its upscale Hotel Indigo to Asia. The first Hotel Indigo opens in Shanghai on the Bund.

The hotel held a celebratory event in the city featuring a 3D film about the hotel's historic neighborhood.

The property is slated to debut at the end of this year and will sit directly on the Huangpu River. The 184-room hotel will feature views of the Yu Gardens, the Bund and the Pudong area.

Over the next three years Hotel Indigo will open in Xiamen, Taipei, Hong Kong and Bangkok.
