Asia Transpacific Journeys is collecting aid for the relief of the major floods in Myanmar through the tour operator's charitable arm, the Asia Transpacific Foundation

Flash floods and landslides have displaced thousands of civilians in Myanmar. An estimated 150,000 homes have been damaged, 100,000 farms flooded and about 30 have lost their lives, Asia Transpacific Journeys said.

The flooding has left much of the infrastructure devastated creating logistical difficulties in delivering supplies, food and medical personnel. The Myanmar government is urgently working with the UN and various NGOs to reach the roughly 200,000 people in need of basic supplies and foodstuffs.
