ATA Congress Allows Visitors to Experience Egypt

Delegates to the 34th Annual Africa Travel Association (ATA) Congress in Cairo May 17-21, will have an opportunity to explore “Egypt Beyond the Monuments” on pre- or post- conference trips. Travelers can play golf on one of the destination's golf courses, which include more than 20; visit religious sites, mosques, churches and synagogues; take a desert tour in 4 x4 Land Rovers or on a camel; and indulge in wellness treatments.    

The Africa Travel Association Congress, “Connecting Destination Africa,” will take place at the Cairo International Conference Center. Topics discussed will include intra-Africa cooperation, airline access, tourism infrastructure development, tourism industry investment, branding and marketing, and responsible tourism.

The agenda will also include a roundtable for ministers, as well as the first African marketplace for buyers and sellers. The Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and the Egyptian Tourist Authority (ETA) are subsidizing hotel accommodations at the Fairmont Heliopolis Hotel for all delegates and providing transportation, logistical support, and tours in Cairo.

Egypt Air is the official Congress Carrier. The airline is offering discount rates for all delegates starting at $711 (not including tax) roundtrip New York/Cairo/New York in economy class on a first-come basis.
