AYANA Resort and Spa Appoints New Sales & Marketing Director

AYANA Resort and Spa Bali has appointed Peter van Peborgh-Gooch as director of sales and marketing, effective immediately.

Van Peborgh-Gooch’s responsibilities would include boosting revenue for the 190-acre property in Bali's Jimbaran Bay, developing creative sales and marketing campaigns and directing the hotel’s outreach in key markets in Asia, Europe, and the Americas.

His posting is anticipated to further strengthen the accomplishments of AYANA’s sales and marketing team.

“Peter possesses a wealth of experience, financial acumen and market insight and I am confident he will excel in his new role," said General Manager Charles de Foucault in a media release.

Van Peborgh-Gooch, an English- and French-speaking Briton, brings to his new role more than 24 years' experience with a number of world-leading luxury hotel groups. They include The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company LLC, InterContinental Hotels & Resorts plc and Savoy Group plc.

Most recently, Van Peborgh-Gooch was director of business development for Hilton Worldwide, based in Tokyo.

Previously, he was regional director of sales for Ritz-Carlton LLC in London before joining IHG with three terms as director of sales and marketing at InterContinental properties in Qingdao, China (opening for the 2008 Summer Olympics), Abu Dhabi, UAE, and Cairo, Egypt.
