BAA Gets Final Appeal for Stansted Sale

The Telegraph is reporting that BAA can challenge the court-ordered sale of Stansted Airport for the final time before the Court of Appeal.

The judgment comes after the Competition Appeal Tribunal in February dismissed BAA’s argument against the sale.

BAA has already been forced to sell both Edinburgh and Gatwick airports. It reportedly maintains that conditions in the aviation market have changed substantially since the original ruling.

It also stresses that Stansted does not compete with its only other remaining London airport, Heathrow.
