Básico Wins Award from Travel + Leisure

One of Mexico Boutique Hotels' properties in the Yucatán, hotel Básico, was chosen as "Best Small Hotel" for 2005 by Travel + Leisure, during their second annual Design Awards. The competition was judged by a panel of experts who considered hundreds of nominations in 15 categories. The 15-room Básico, located in Playa del Carmen was described by T+L as utilizing "the vernacular of Mexican culture" using local materials and workmanship and transforming them into a modern yet still authentic hotel experience.
