Boutique Hotel to Reopen in London's Marylebone Neighborhood

Husband-and-wife team Kit and Tim Kemp recently reacquired their very first property, the Dorset Square Hotel, which they originally bought in the '80s. The property led to the creation of Firmdale Hotels, which now includes eight boutique properties (seven in London and one in New York).

Located in London's Marylebone neighborhood, a residential area close to the city’s theater and financial districts, the hotel is surrounded by shops, restaurants and galleries. The hotel's English country style has been replaced by Kit Kemp's design, with bright colors, contrasting fabrics, and one-off art pieces and furnishings. Each of the 38 rooms is individually designed, and many look onto the private garden square. Each follows a different color scheme and is decorated with items that Kemp has gathered from around the globe.

The property is due to open next month.
