Bristol Panama Expansion Slated for January 2012 Debut

One of Panama City’s premiere hotels, Bristol Panama, recently announced the an expansion slated for completion by January 2012. The multi-level project will add 111 new accommodations, two new restaurants, a rooftop spa and several five star amenities.

Bristol Panama is located in the heart of the Panama City’s bustling financial district, just steps from vibrant new nightlife and dining options, and centuries-old cultural sites. The hotel currently features 56 rooms and suites, as well as the notable Barandas restaurant.

Designed by Zürcher Architects, the Bristol Panama expansion adjoins the existing hotel at the fifth story, adding 63 guestrooms and eight expansive suites, as well as The Residences at Bristol Panama. These 40, one-and two-bedroom condominiums will be fully furnished, appointed and available for rent or purchase.

Also included as part of the expansion is the new 8º58' Lounge, a restaurant and bar serving small plate Panamanian fusion cuisine with an Asian flair. Following the reopening, the hotel’s Barandas restaurant will also reopen as Social Table, serving gourmet Panamanian cuisine with a complexity indicative of its head chef, Panama’s famed Cuquita Arias.

Several amenities will also be offered as a result of the project, including 24-hour personalized butler service and a state-of-the-art pool, fitness center and business center. The hotel’s first spa, The Spa at Bristol, will also open on the top floor of the hotel in mid-2012.
