Menfredi Lefebvre, chairman of Silversea Investments and Participations Ltd., became the latest notable travel industry professional to get involved in the acquisition of Cap Juluca, a longstanding luxury resort in Anguilla.

Lefebvre announced his company's investment in Cap Juluca Properties  last week. Cap Juluca Properties is an Anguillan company formed by an investor syndicate led by noted travel industry executive Adam M. Aron, former chairman of Vail Resorts and RockResorts. On April 9, Cap Juluca Properties acquired the Cap Juluca resort on the island of Anguilla in the Leeward Islands of the British West Indies. Plans call for an $80 million renovation of the property. The refurbishments will include a complete upgrade to the interiors of Cap Juluca's 18 guest villas. In addition, an all-new spa, retail shops and resort pool will be created on property. As far as Aron's plans for acquiring additional Caribbean properties, he told Travel Agent, "This is a one-off acquisition. I have no plans to acquire other Caribbean resorts."
