The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority will partner with national travel wholesalers once again to offer a special promotion for travel agents. The “Cash in on Vegas” booking incentive will offer top-selling travel agents the chance to qualify to win their share of $40,000.
From November 1 to November 30, travel agents who sell a minimum of three air/land packages to Las Vegas for travel during the months of November, December and January will qualify for the chance to win cash gift cards valued at $100, $250 and $500 from each of the ten participating wholesale partners. One lucky top producer, from each wholesale partner, will win the grand prize of $1,000.
“MLT Vacations pays commission on all airfares through its Delta Vacations and Continental Airlines Vacations product brands, and this incentive is just another way travel agents can earn even more cash when selling one of the most popular, and best-loved destinations," said Terry Morrison, vice president of sales for MLT Vacations.
Entries are based on room nights in Las Vegas, so the more nights that are booked by an agent during the promotion, the more chances to win. Winners will be selected through wholesale partners and prizes will be awarded after travel has been completed.
In addition to prize incentives, travel agents who book Las Vegas will discover many new reasons for their clients to visit. This year, Las Vegas has added new resorts to its skyline, including ARIA, Vdara and Mandarin Oriental at CityCenter. On December 15, The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas will open on the Las Vegas Strip. The destination has also added new entertainment options including Cirque du Soleil’s Viva Elvis at ARIA and Vegas! The Show at Planet Hollywood, plus several fine dining and casual restaurants.
National wholesale travel partners who will participate include Alaska Vacations, Orbitz for Agents, Expedia Travel Agent Affiliate Program, Continental Vacations, Delta Vacations, Funjet Vacations, GOGO Vacations, Southwest Vacations, US Airways Vacations and Travel Impressions.
