The decor in each treatment room at Casitas Spa offers guests a sense of the Mexican culture

Spectacular spas are just one way to entice people to return to the Riviera Maya. But the opening of perhaps the region's most impressive new spa late last year probably was of little good to agents in the turbulent first half of 2009 in Mexico.

Now, with Mexico making a strong push to bring back tourism, Travel Agent is reintroducing you to the Casitas Spa at El Dorado Casitas Royale, by Karisma.

Karisma's Latest Gem

El Dorado Casitas Royale, by Karisma, a gourmet inclusive hotel within the adults-only El Dorado Royale, A Spa Resort, by Karisma, opened its Casitas Spa last November. Agents can get more information and book their clients by contacting Samantha Frachey at 011-52-998-872-8030 or [email protected].

The 20,000-square-foot Mexican-themed spa retreat includes a serenity pool, saunas, steam rooms, showers, treatment rooms, fitness center, boutique spa shop, bridal suites, event space and full-service salon.

"The calm and soothing surroundings are an ideal setting for guests to relax and savor every detail of their vacation, while being pampered by our attentive staff," says Mandy Chomat, vice president of sales and marketing for Premier Worldwide Marketing, exclusive worldwide
representatives for El Dorado Spa Resorts & Hotels by Karisma.

The decor and art in each treatment room was selected to provide a sense of Mexican culture. Blue with agave signifies Mexico's native plant rich in healing and regenerating properties, dark chocolate rooms reflect the luxurious cocoa body mask and bath that will leave the skin feeling smooth, and green with forest herbs indicate the detoxifying body wrap designed to nourish and hydrate the skin.

Each spa treatment incorporates unique elements distinctive to the Mexican culture. Experience copal and Yaax-Che tree resin extracts used to eliminate skin impurities; pitaya, tuna and nopal-a vegetable commonly used in Mexican dishes-to heighten healing, moisturize and nourish the skin; and blue agave rich in therapeutic and regenerating properties.

Guests can also experience alternative therapies, including Exotic Grape, a treatment based on derivatives of wine, which makes skin luminous and vital; Delicious Chocolate, a sensual treatment that is rich in minerals and soft, nourishing cocoa butter; and Pearl Sensation, a facial and body wrap that provides optimal skin hydration and revitalization.

Casitas Spa also offers scrubs, body wraps, facials, manicures, pedicures and full-service beauty-salon services. Ideal for couples, the spa has a number of luxurious packages for two, enjoyed on the beach or in a private room. Clients can experience a romantic oceanfront massage with the Moonlight Massage package or choose from three other couples-exclusive packages. Bridal parties can enjoy a girls-only retreat complete with bridal suite accommodations. Using the full-service onsite salon, bridal parties will have every amenity within reach.
