CIE Tours International named Ursula Blackburne ([email protected]) director of sales for the Southwest region of the U.S. Jim Kelly, vice president of CIE Tours International, said that travel to Ireland is rapidly expanding from that region and that this position gives CIE Tours on-site representation in these key states.
Blackburne, who was most recently CIE Tours’ East Coast manager, is now responsible for marketing and promoting the company in Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas, from her base in Houston.
The company also named Jennifer Joy Smith ([email protected]) as director of sales for the Western Region of the U.S., noting that the move was spurred by the addition of new flights from San Francisco and Los Angeles. Smith, who was formerly with Globus, is now responsible for marketing and promoting CIE Tours in California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Nevada and Colorado, from her base in San Francisco. She joins Gregg Abbott, who represents CIE Tours in Southern California.
Separately, CIE Tours has just announced discounts of $400 per couple ($200 per person) on all escorted tours and self-drive vacations to Ireland during July and August. Packages must be booked with airfare on Aer Lingus through CIE Tours and from the following gateways: NY-JFK, Boston, Chicago, Washington, D.C., Los Angeles and San Francisco. The offers are valid for all new bookings made from February 4 through February 29.
To get the discount for clients, travel agents should log on to CIE Tours International’s website, www.cietours.com, select a vacation with dates and follow the screens. When air results appear, choose Aer Lingus (EI) flights with the special “CIE” class of service outlined in green for both departing and return flights. Enter passenger information, and enter these codes in the promotion code box FEB400 for departures from July 1 through August 31; FEB200 for departures from April 1 through June 30th.
