Comfort Suites Grand Cayman Offers Carib-Italian Flavor

With a new menu, a new staff and new owners, the popular Stingers restaurant at Comfort Suites Seven Mile Beach in Grand Cayman is offering an authentic Italian dining experience under the direction of a creative chef from the food-friendly Calabria region of southern Italy.

The new Stingers Restaurant and Pool Bar, serving its alluring new menu at the back door of the hotel, tempts diners not only with Chef Anello Crescente's signature pasta recipes, but also with a selection of family favorite meals.

Co-owner Crescente, with his eye for detail, has overhauled the menu and is already finding his selection of lunchtime pastas, salads, burgers, and the signature conch fritters, are a big hit with patrons, many of whom return for more.

Crescente, who led culinary creations at Cayman's Casanova restaurant for 15 years, noted "people love the food and they love the changes we have made." The soccer and cycling enthusiast says the chicken supreme, chicken in mango sauce and the lobster and shrimp roll are also huge favorites.

Thomas Mason, general manager of Comfort Suites, agrees the refreshed dining experience has added to the allure of the renovated property, located steps away from the popular Seven Mile Beach.

"From newly refurbished rooms to new dining experiences, we continue to work hard to exceed the expectations of our discerning guests when they visit the Cayman Islands," says Mason.

The restaurant also features a Caribbean Luau on Wednesday nights during the season and guests can enjoy live music, a limbo competition as well as a performance from a real live fire eater.
