The Cool Pool of the Week: The Adolphus Hotel in Dallas

A completely new build-out to the hotel, The Pool at The Adolphus is perfect for Millennials.

Millennials looking to cool off in Dallas might want to check out The Adolphus Hotel’s brand new The Pool at The Adolphus, offering impressive views of the downtown Dallas skyline.

The seventh floor rooftop pool and bar is part of the final phase of a comprehensive renovation to the Beaux-Arts structure originally built in 1912. A completely new build-out to the hotel, The Pool at The Adolphus transforms at night into a buzzing scene, complete with a fire pit, where hotel guests can socialize and enjoy a signature cocktail.

Whether reclining in the cooling waters of the pool’s semi-submerged lounge chairs or enjoying drinks and bites with family and friends in the six private cabanas, The Pool at The Adolphus is a great chilling spot for both families and couples.

Travel Agent was told the pool area can be rented out and holds 125 seated and 175 standing for a cocktail party. The six private cabanas can also be rented out. Hint: Although there are no official pool programs, the pool does open at 6 a.m. and the deck is perfect for a personal yoga session.

The culinary team at The Adolphus has created a poolside menu reflective of the space, comprised of a refreshing assortment designed with health in mind. Features for the day include bright, light bites like the Texas Grapefruit Salad with watercress, sunflower seeds, and goat cheese as well as indulgences such as a Texas Wagyu Burger topped with cheddar cheese & smoked bacon served with hand-cut fries.

For those with a sweet tooth, The Pool Bar offers temptations in the form of “Pops” popsicles in flavors like Lemon-Basil and Strawberry-Prosecco, and “Puddin’s,” featuring flavors like Chocolate-Avocado with raspberry compote and a chocolate cookie spoon and Key Lime Curd with coconut mousse and a graham cracker spoon.
