CroisiEurope Introduces New French Canal Barge Itineraries for 2014

Eiffel TowerCroisiEurope is introducing barge cruises along France’s canal network in its 2014 itinerary offerings. Prices for each cruise vary depending on the itinerary, travel dates and cabin deck chosen. Travelers who book by December 1, 2013 will save $400 off the listed price per cabin, based on double occupancy.

CroisiEurope's new French canal barge itineraries include:

Saône-et-Loire to the Côte d'Or – Guests will go on a journey through the Saône-et-Loire and La Côte d'Or regions of France. During onshore excursions, all included, guests will explore Cirque du Bout du Monde and the Mont de Sene, and partake in wine tastings at Santenay Chalon-sur-Saôn. Prices for this 7-day cruise begin at $2,418 per person double on the main deck including excursions.
 
Canal du Rhone-à-Sète - Provence from Avignon to Sète – The adventure begins in Les-Baux-de-Provence before continuing through Provence to the fortress of Aigues-Mortes for a guided city tour. The trip will conclude in the port town of Sète where guests can discover the Saint-Clair Cross and Notre Dame de la Salette Chapel. Prices for this trip, including excursions, begin at $2,530 per person double for 7 days.
 
Paris and the Canal Saint Martin – Guests will take a scenic tour of Paris. The first night of the tour will be spent exploring the newly renovated MS Jeanine near the Eiffel Tower. The cruise starts along the Canal Saint Martin to Bassin de la Villette where guests will see landmarks such as the Opera, Place Vendôme, and the Louvre. The next morning the boat will stop in Trocadero before heading to the Saint-Germain-des-Prés district where guests will take a guided tour of the area passing by the Arc de Triomphe, down the Champs Elysées and around the Place de la Concorde, before arriving in Saint-Germain-des-Prés. Prices for this 4-day cruise begin at $682 per person double and include excursions.
 
Marne-Rhine Canal from Châlons-en-Champagne to Paris – The 7-day gastronomic journey will start in Châlons-en-Champagne, where guests will travel along the “The Sparkling Venice” to Hautvillers. From there, travel to Chateaux Theirry to explore the Jean de la Fontaine Museum and enjoy local history and cuisine. The trip will finish with a tour through Paris. Prices begin at $2,488 per person double and include excursions.

The Marne-Rhine Canal from Strasbourg to Xouaxange – Guests will travel through the Green Way, and discover the city of Strasbourg, an UNESCO world heritage site, the Artzwiller inclined plane, and Marc Chagall's unique stained glass window in Sarrebourg. Prices for this 7-day cruise begin at $2,306 per person double. Excursions can be booked on board or in advance for an additional fee.
