De-stress, Cali Style

We’ve been hearing a lot about the 102-acre Terranea Resort, set to open this June. The huge undertaking has a little bit of everything – from oceanfront casitas to its own nine-hole golf course. What we hadn’t heard from the Palos Verdes resort is anything about its spa. Well the cat is out of the bag.

The Spa at Terranea will do Cali-style to the max, with an emphasis on de-stressing guests who come to the resort sporting a psychic limp from the bruises and buffetings of modern life.

The spa will offer treatments such as barefoot walking, coastal hikes, sunrise yoga and cleansing rituals linked to the ebb and flow of tides and cycles of the moon. Spa services will utilize marine plants, salt waters, local grasses, rocky stones and crystal quartz- all of which are indigenous to Terranea's location. The 25,000-square-foot facility has 24 luxury treatment rooms, three VIP suites, a 5,000-square-foot Fitness and Wellness Center, full-service salon and a spa café. We like the sound of the spa’s the second story co-ed lounge with walkout oceanfront balcony and the U-shaped Mediterranean design, which cradles a lap pool and gardens with fire pits.
