Los Cabos will host the film festival this year from November 9-13. The event showcases films from Mexico, Canada, and the United States. This is the fifth year of the festival and this year includes the movie “Jackie,” directed by Pablo Larrain and “Captain Fantastic,” directed by Matt Ross.

The Art of Taste, a Food & Wine Festival

This week The Resort at Pedregal will host its exclusive four-day event with internationally recognized chefs. Guests will have a chance to see cooking demonstrations, enjoy tequila seminars with mixologists, participate in tastings with renowned winemakers and have one-of-a-kind dining experiences.

Ironman Competitions

On October 30, Los Cabos will host two Ironman competitions – Ironman and Ironman 70.3. The Ironman will include a 2.4-mile swim, starting at Playa Palmilla, followed by a 112-mile bike ride along the corridor between San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas and a 26.2-mile run through the village streets and hotel zone. Ironman 70.3 will include the same routes, but the athletes will only compete half the distances.

Looking ahead, Los Cabos is set to host other sport related events. Esponda exlained that this coming July, the Extreme Sailing Series will be coming to the Americas for the first time. For more information, visit http://www.extremesailingseries.com/
