Last week, Disneyland Resort premiered a new nighttime experience called 'The Magic, the Memories & You!' at Disneyland Park as part of the 2011 domestic Disney campaign, 'Let the Memories Begin.' Guests of all ages will be reminded of their Disney memories as the show projects approximately 500 guest photos onto the classic Fantasyland "It's a small world" attraction.
The 10-minute spectacle will use new projection technology that will transform the architecture of "Its a small world" by depicting that day's actual guest photos and videos taken from Disney's 'Let the Memories Begin' online hub. "We're really taking it to the Nth degree and we are doing it for our guests,' said Alan Brunn, associate creative director, Disney Destination Entertainment.
The visual and musical journey will illustrate the family vacation experience, from planning and travel up to arrival and fun in Disneyland. For the first time, Disney Park's guests will also have the chance to be featured in television ads and other marketing material, by the use of their home videos and snapshots each depicting their unique Disney experience.
Disneyland Resort President George Kalogridis added: "Disneyland has been making very special memories for families and guests for more than 55 years. Now guests recalling and cherishing those memories will become stars of the show as well."
