Dominican Republic Resort Names New GM

Casa de Campo resort in the Dominican Republic recently announced the appointment of Daniel Hernández as general manager.

Hernandez will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of Casa de Campo -- which is completing a two-year, $40 million transformation.

With more than three decades of experience in the hospitality industry, Hernández has recently held the position of general manager within AMResorts, overseeing luxury properties including Sunscape Casa del Mar, Sunscape the Beach and Dreams Tulum for more than eight years.

Within this company he was also named director of operations in the Dominican and Caribbean. Previously, Hernández has also worked with Occidental Hotels and Resorts, and has held the position of operations manager at Royal Hideaway Resort & Spa. Prior to that, Hernández was recruited to be a partner of Imperial Hotels & Resorts where he was appointed to oversee a chain of small luxury properties in Bogotá.
