Dorado Beach, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve Hires General Manager

Alejandro Helbling has been hand-picked to serve as general manager for Dorado Beach, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve. Helbling is overseeing all pre-opening efforts for the first Reserve in the Americas and its exclusive roster of amenities, which is slated to open this December.

Dorado Beach, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve will be the first Reserve in the Western Hemisphere and the project comes with a compelling legacy as it’s built on the former Laurance Rockefeller estate from the 50s, with much of Rockefeller's environmental philosophies still rooted in the property.

The property will feature the first restaurant outside of the United States for world-renowned chef José Andrés, a five-acre Spa Botánico, featuring glass-walled treatment pavilions surrounded by private gardens with outdoor showers, soaking tubs and ‘Treehouse’ treatment platforms in a forest canopy, and Su Casa, the original plantation hacienda renovated back to its original 1920s style to serve as a four-bedroom beachfront VIP villa.

Prior to joining Dorado Beach, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, Helbling served as general manager at the renowned luxury enclave, Bulgari Bali where he was instrumental in positioning the hotel as one of the premier luxury resorts in the world. As a seasoned hospitality professional, Helbling’s 20 years of experience complement his expertise within the affluent travel market.
