Dorado Beach, A Ritz-Carlton Reserve to Open 500-Acre Farm, Restaurant

Dorado Beach, A Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Puerto Rico

Travel Agent was on hand Thursday for a lunch hosted by George M. Sotelo, general manager of the Dorado Beach, A Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Puerto Rico, and learned that the four-year-old luxury resort will soon be opening a new 500-acre farm and restaurant.

Sotelo told media the resort recently acquired 500 acres of land that will be used to build a farmhouse that will produce the resort's own vegetables as well as a farm-to-table restaurant, which has not been named yet.

Sotelo says the farmhouse and restaurant should be up and running 18 to 24 months from now.

Once a plantation, Dorado Beach, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve is now a private estate resort in Puerto Rico inspired by the legacy and memorable vacation experiences of its original developer, Laurance S. Rockefeller.
