The Double Tree Resort Orlando Opens Its Doors

After undergoing a $35 million dollar renovation, the Double Tree Resort Orlando has officially opened its doors this week.  As the largest Doubletree property in its portfolio, this resort is practically a city unto itself with over 1,000 rooms spread across 28 acres.

Set in the middle of Orlando’s tourism corridor, the property is within walking distance of several tourist attractions, including SeaWord and Aquatica, and a quick drive to the Orlando International Airport.  The resort itself features several dining areas, ballrooms, three pools, a business center, and a fitness center.

With 1,094 rooms, accommodations are available in several varieties ranging from “modest” Resort Guestrooms, to the more extravagant Premium Accommodations, which look more like miniature homes than a hotel rooms.  In fact with a kitchenette, a microwave, a mini-refrigerator, and room service included with every Premium Room, guests staying long-term might not want to go home after their business trip.

Aside from casual tourists, the hotel hopes to attract business people attending the several nearby convention centers.  However, by itself the Doubletree Resort Orlando currently boasts 60,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space, with one conference center in the main building totaling approximately 20,000 square feet.

For travelers looking to visit Orlando in the coming weeks, the Double Tree Resort Orlando is temporarily offering promotional “Grand Debut” rates ranging from $69 to $149.
