Electric Dream Debuts at Vegas' Studio 54 New Year's Eve

Studio 54, MGM Grand, Las VegasCelebrate New Year's Eve this year in Las Vegas with DJ Loczi's auditory and visual experience, "Electric Dream," at Studio 54 at MGM Grand. A DJ and nightlife producer, Loczi will be accompanied by his team of musicians and animators, including Emmy-Award winning animator Mark Butler, remixer and keys player David Alexander, who has worked with Prince and Justin Timberlake, drums player and vocalist Christopher Wight, whose work includes Linkin Park, and vocals and guitarist Joy Basu, who has performanced with Jessica Simpson and Jennifer Lopez.

Produced and orchestrated by Loczi, the show created for Studio 54 takes clubgoers through the club's legacy, with video and projections of the club's celebrity guests, alongside live music, performances by aerialists, wall-climbers and dancers, and surreal special effects. Continuing every Friday after New Year's Eve, the show will feature classics infused with modern and electric music, before featuring Top 40 hits and futuristic mixes.

Distinguished for spinning electro, dubstep, progressive house and breakbeats remixed with pop, hip hop, funk, soul and disco, Loczi's work includes Madonna's Closing Tour Party, GRAMMY After-Party, San Diego's Superbowl Party and Semi-Precious Weapons' Official After-Party. He has performed with DJ AM, Kid Rock, The Black Eyed Peas and Pitbull.

Within MGM Grand, Studio 54's 22,000-square-foot space includes two levels, four bars, one main dance floor, movable go-go cages and a VIP lounge. Regular hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 10 p.m. into the late night. On New Year's Eve, a premium bar will be open from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. Tickets are $150 on the website and $175 at the door.
