Embrace Exuma Resort on Staniel Cay have just opened for previews in advance of the official resort opening in 2014.
Four of the seven Embrace villas are now welcoming guests: Mayaguana, Bimini, Andros and Ragged Island. Ranging from 1-3 bedrooms, villas include the honeymoon villa, Ragged Island, which has a Jacuzzi and romantic shower for two. Bimini villa is both for business and pleasure. The Mayaguana offers ramps, grab bars and other handicap accessible modifications.
The largest villa is named for the largest island in The Bahamas – Andros. It offers a kitchen and one, two or three bedrooms depending on a guest’s needs. The grand opening is scheduled for March 1, 2014, and will include three additional villas, Embrace’s spa, gym, meeting room with A/V equipment and restaurant.
“With four uniquely decorated villas already welcoming guests, the anticipation is really building here in Staniel Cay,” said Nicole Ferguson, Embrace Resort’s owner. “We look forward to welcoming guests now and for our grand opening in 2014."
Embrace is just a boat ride away from the Exuma Cays Land & Sea Park and private islands of Oprah, Tyler Perry, Faith Hill and Johnny Depp. Staniel Cay and The Bahamas at large will also focus on green and eco-friendly construction practices as the resort opening date approaches. During the construction phase Embrace has been working closely with OBM International's Denaye Hinds, director of sustainability, to ensure that the resort, from construction to day-to-day operations, is as eco-friendly as possible.
