Europe Express Gets New VP of Travel Industry Sales

Europe Express has promoted Kier Matthews to vice president of travel industry sales. As part of a corporate realignment, Matthews will lead all of the company's travel agent engagement programs.

"Since Kier’s arrival he has worked with our travel agent partners on FIT and group sales with success. This is a formalization of that work," said Paula McKay, president of Europe Express. "Under Kier’s direction, we have seen a growth in new agency partners working with us and the successful launch of our cruise pre/post product line."

Recent and upcoming projects at Europe Express include a pre- and post-cruise program for FIT and Groups, enhanced product offerings and a redesigned agent website.

Prior to joining Europe Express in March 2010, Matthews worked for two years at Virtuoso, the travel industry’s leading luxury travel network with tour and specialty operators and in North America member sales and service. He also spent eight years with Starwood Hotels and Resorts as well as two years at Cruise West.

Born and raised in Orlando, Kier is married to Heather and has two daughters, Giovanni and Isabella. He studied International Relations at Shaw University.
