Exotic Ports Highlight Oceania's and Azamara's 2009 Europe Season

Deluxe cruise operators Oceania Cruises and Azamara Cruises have unveiled their 2009 European sailings, which are similar in that they both call at many less-visited ports of call.

Azamara Journey and Azamara Quest will visit 20 new ports with overnight stays included in some. The series of seven- to 15-night itineraries in 2009 include visits to St. Petersburg, Stockholm and Barcelona, with harder-to-access port calls in Zadar, Croatia; Rouen, France and Volos, Greece.

Meanwhile, Oceania will have three ships positioned in Europe for the 2009 season, offering 56 voyages that range in length from 10 to 30 days. Highlights include maiden calls at Hellesylt, Norway; Fowey, UK; Biarritz, France; Koper, Slovenia and Split, Croatia. There also will be a new 14-day Egypt and Israel itinerary from Barcelona to Istanbul calling in Tunisia, Malta, Greece, Egypt, Israel, Cyprus and Turkey. Oceania is offering free airfare and two-for-one cruise fares starting at $1,499 per passenger. Visit www.azamaracruises.com and www.oceaniacruises.com.
