Meanwhile, just in time for the new Delta flight, the Fairmont St. Andrews has wrapped up a $20 million renovation. Each element of the resort, including 115 guest rooms and the lobby, has been refurbished “with Scottish touches and warm hues,” according to management. The spa, meanwhile, has been expanded; it now has 12 rooms and a redesigned relaxation lounge. Of note is a new private “Spa in Spa:” three treatment rooms that can be joined together for small groups. Other recent enhancements include the addition of a new sports-themed bar and renovation of the 15,000-square-foot conference center.
Meanwhile, underway is a refurbishment of the Torrance golf course, which is currently closed and scheduled to re-open in spring 2009. A second course, The Devlin, is open, however. The resort is located a few miles south of St. Andrews.
