Ladies looking for their picturesque princess wedding can’t go wrong in the land of castles and rolling moors. Ireland, Scotland and England provide the perfect backdrop for a bride’s dream of a fairytale wedding.

The K Club, Ireland

Sitting on the banks of Ireland’s River Liffey just 30 minutes outside of Dublin is The Kildare Hotel and Country Club, lovingly known as The K Club. The luxury hotel spans across 550 acres of woods, park and formal gardens, which make for prime setup for outdoor nuptials.

The red carpet is rolled out for betrothed couples at this property, whether they want an intimate wedding of 16 or a full-out bash of 350 guests. The events team is on hand to attend to every detail. Bridal parties and guests can choose from spa treatments to golf, and a resident makeup artist is available to brides and their entourage on the big day.

Indoor receptions can be held in The Legacy Suite, the Arnold Palmer Room, The John Jefferson Smurfit Room or The Pantheon Suite.

The Arnold Palmer Room can seat up to 140 guests for dinner and dancing. With its own private entrance and bar, your clients will lap up the VIP treatment! If it’s views they are after, the room’s focal point is the large bay window that looks over the 18th green and lake of the Ryder Cup course.

After undergoing heavy refurbishments, The Legacy Suite in the Smurfit Clubhouse is ready to host anywhere from 16 to 350 of your clients’ closest friends. The new look includes a black-and-white-tiled dance floor and fiber optic lighting on the staging area. This room also has its own private entrance, bar and a private terrace overlooking the Smurfit Palmer Course.

The John Jefferson Smurfit Room is ideal for intimate weddings. It can host up to 40 guests and sits in the main hotel building.

The Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa, Edinburgh, Scotland

Smack dab in Edinburgh’s city center sits the five-star Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa. The hotel, which has recently completed a thorough gut renovation, caters to brides and grooms in true Highland style.

The K Club
The K Club, spread across acres and acres of formal gardens, offers a prime backdrop for tying the knot.

Every reception is tailored to the tastes of the betrothed couples, whether they are looking for an intimate affair, a traditional wedding breakfast, or a lavish banquet. The hotel has an on-site event planner to guide couples through the process.

For the over-the-top ceremonies, the hotel’s Edinburgh Suite fits the bill. This reception venue can host up to 450 guests and has plenty of space for a band and dance floor. Smaller rooms are also available for receptions between 30 and 120 guests.

The hotel’s pièce de résistance is its One Spa, which has a slew of options for bridal parties. The personal event planner can tailor a custom spa program for those involved in the wedding, from a swim in the 62-foot pool to a stop in the Thermal Suite. Brides get a consultation before the big day to design a program of spa treatments to suit their needs. The finishing touches, from mani/pedis to bridal makeup can also be arranged.

Post-nuptials, be sure to check your newlywed clients into the brand new Grand Suite. The suite includes a spacious dressing room in the master bedroom, double showers with golden mosaic tiles, a private lobby, cloakroom and pantry. Guests can also access the newly refurbished Club Lounge, which serves breakfast, drinks and snacks along with canapes in the evening.
