Fiji Resort Reopens After Upgrades

Fiji’s Castaway Island Resort and Spa, located in the Mamanuca Islands, has reopened after a three-month closure.

Castaway is a privately owned Fijian island resort catering to both couples and families. It is the only resort on a 174 acre island covered in tropical rainforest and surrounded by beaches and coral reefs.

Accommodation at the resort is made up of 66 bures (bungalows). During the resort refurbishment, all bures were repainted and received newly rethatched roofs. Many have new tapa lined ceilings and air-conditioning units. In addition, Castaway garden staff have sourced hundreds of new plants on display throughout the resort.

Activities at the four-star resort include water sports, PADI diving, Fiji surf tours and daytime champagne picnic adventures to deserted islands. For those with children, the kid’s club, which is open day and night, offers plenty of play possibilities.
