First Phase of Kauai Wyndham Opens

Wyndham Hotels and Resorts has announced the completion of the first phase of the 322-unit Koloa Landing at Poipu Beach Wyndham Grand Resort, the brand’s first new-build project in Hawaii. The resort and residential development, located at Poipu Beach on the south shore of Kauai, is the first property in Hawaii to fly the Wyndham Grand flag.

Phase one of the multi-phase development includes the opening of 85 villas, lagoon pools, fitness center, marketplace and upscale sundry shop. Construction on the resort development began in June 2008, and the completed project will include one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom luxury residences. Guests will also have access to a central pool with a water slide, sand bottom area, cascading waterfalls and swim-through grotto, lagoon-style pools, several hot tubs, fitness center, day spa, poolside bar and grill, covered parking and semi-private elevators to each front door. The second phase of construction is expected to begin in May 2011.

Villas include gourmet-style kitchens, Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances, granite countertops, spacious walk-in closets, exotic hardwood and natural stone flooring, central air-conditioning and state-of-the-art technology. In addition, each villa includes a custom furniture package with premium finishes, indoor and outdoor living spaces and floor-to-ceiling glass doors leading to private lanais.
