G.A.P Adventures Announces Australia Bush Fire Appeal

In response to the bushfires that are devastating parts of the Australian states of Victoria and New South Wales, G.A.P Adventures is sending out an urgent appeal asking for donations to help support the communities affected by this natural disaster, the worst Australia has seen in more than a century. Thousands have been left homeless, and the number of fatalities continues to grow as authorities now have access to previously unchecked areas.

“G.A.P Adventures is eager to provide immediate assistance to these communities by providing another avenue to gather funding and to support the relief, recovery and reconstruction efforts that lie ahead,” says Bruce Poon Tip, CEO of G.A.P Adventures. “We encourage others to join us in supporting the communities affected by this disaster."

All donations made through the Planeterra Foundation, founded by G.A.P Adventures, will be matched dollar for dollar and will go to the Australian Red Cross Society in support of the over 20 evacuation centers that have been set up to provide those affected with first aid and emergency services, food and shelter, and registration so that they can be located by friends and family.
