Galaxy Macau Opens With Record-Breaking Numbers

Galaxy Macau, Macau's eagerly anticipated mega-resort, opened its doors on May 15. As if that wasn't news enough, the attraction welcomed over 20,000 guests within the first 90 minutes, with the projection that the property will welcome 30,000 to 40,000 guests per day.

The Grand Opening ceremony was a who's who of VIPs, all there to watch the unveiling of over 2,200 hotel rooms, suites and villas spread over three hotels (Banyan Tree Macau, Hotel Okura Macau and Galaxy Hotel); as well as rooftop pool, white sand beech, gardens, private cabanas, spa, over 50 international food and beverage outlets, clubs, movie theater and casino.
