Glasgow International Festival of Visual Art Announces 2012 Dates

Organizers of the Glasgow International Festival of Visual Art (GI) have announced that the next edition of the Festival will take place across the city from Friday, April 20, to Monday, May 7, 2012.

Held over 18 days, the festival will present a collection of contemporary art in an array of spaces and locations, including key venues such as the Gallery of Modern Art (GoMA) and Tramway, through to artist-run collectives and newly discovered spaces in the city.

In addition, next year’s festival will also support new projects from more than 20 Glasgow-based arts organizations and artist groups, alongside a program of local and international artists’ commissions, which has been curated by the Festival's Director, Katrina Brown.
