In January, Grupo Aeromexico transported 1,202,000 passengers; the highest number for the month of January in the company's history.
This represents a 10-percent, year-on-year increase as compared to January of 2011, resulting from a 22-percent increase in international passenger traffic and a six-percent increase in domestic passenger traffic.
Grupo Aeromexico's capacity, measured in Available Seat Kilometers (ASKs), registered a seven-percent, year-on-year increase in January, and demand, measured in Revenue Passenger Kilometers (RPKs), grew 11 percent. As a result, the load factor for the month increased two percentage points, to reach a total of 77.1 percent.
