The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism in Japan has officially announced that international scheduled flights aboard JAL may begin operating from Haneda Airport as of October 31. The airport's fourth runway and new international terminal will be open on October 21.
JAL will begin flying from Haneda to San Francisco, Honolulu, Paris, Bangkok and Taipei.
JAL Group President and Chief Operating Officer Masaru Onishi says, "Additionally, we plan to deepen our codeshare partnership with fellow oneworld Alliance member, American Airlines, incuding on its allotted Haneda-New York route, so as to strategically expand our network for the benefit of both our customers."
