Attention foodies! Here's a name to remember for your Hawaii Island-bound gourmands: Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel has named Peter Abarcar, Jr. executive chef of the resort.
Abarcar will oversee all culinary operations for the hotel, including the Coast Grille Restaurant, Ocean Terrace Restaurant, The Beach Bar and the Let’s go Crabbing and Hakone buffets. Previously he was the chef de cuisine at Coast Grille.
Abarcar has 23 years of experience in the culinary field. He joined Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel in 1997 as lead cook at the Coast Grille Restaurant and later served as sous chef at the nearby Mauna Kea Beach Hotel. He is an alumnus of Kapiolani Community College with a Certificate of Completion in culinary arts.
