Harbour Plaza 8 Degrees Set to Open in Hong Kong

With the unique fashion sense of a European luxury hotel set in the heart of Hong Kong, the Harbour Plaza 8 Degrees is set to open October 12, 2009.  Under the artistic direction of designer Patrick Leung, the Harbour Plaza’s decoration was created to form the optical illusion of being inside Italy’s Leaning Tower of Pisa.

Although guests may find themselves leaning as they walk, 702 guestrooms will give them plenty of beds to lie down on as they get their bearings.  In addition to space for guests, there is over 4,500 sq. ft of space for business meetings in 9 large rooms, and hook-ups for audio-visual technology for presentations.

Downstairs there are two restaurants featuring Asian and International cuisine, a fitness center, an outdoor swimming pool, and a Whirlpool.

Close by are the entertainment areas of the MTR Hunghom Station, Kowloon Bay shopping, and the Tsimshatsui district, which are reachable by the hotel’s complimentary shuttle bus.
