Hard Rock International is continuing its expansion of hotels throughout the Asia-Pacific, having recently announced the new Hard Rock Hotel Desaru Coast. The announcement comes on the heels of another announcement in Dalian, as the group gears up to open projects in both Shenzhen and Haikou, China.
Hard Rock Hotel Desaru Coast is slated to open in the fall of 2017 in Johor, a state in the southeast region of Malaysia. The hotel will be part of the integrated destination resort Desaru Coast, which incorporates entertainment, restaurants, shopping, a water park, 45 holes of golf and other leisure offerings. The project is presented in collaboration with Themed Attractions Resorts & Hotels Sdn Bhd, a tourism group established by Malasysian government investment fund Khazanah Nasional Berhad.
The 365-room hotel will offer guests signature brand programs, amenities, a sparkling pool with a poolside bar and grill an all-day dining restaurant in addition to a fast-casual eatery. A full-service Rock Spa equipped with two outdoor treatment rooms and Rhythm & Motion treatments, the brand’s differentiated music-infused spa treatments, will be available on site as well. As do all Hard Rock Hotels around the globe, Hard Rock Hotel Desaru Coast will feature The Sound of Your Stay music amenity program, providing guests with firsthand interactive musical experiences and the opportunity to check out a Fender guitar for in-room jam sessions. For the ultimate luxury experience, guests should book the Rock Star Suite, Hard Rock’s take on a Penthouse, and opt to enjoy VIP perks at the Rock Royalty Lounge. For younger travelers, the hotel will offer the Roxity Kids Club designed for kids ages 3-12. There will also be exclusive merchandise available for purchase at the property’s Rock Shop.
The new hotel will be centrally located in Phase 1 within the Desaru Coast, overlooking and providing easy access to the Desaru Coast Adventure Water Park as well as the Retail Village, the resorts waterfront shopping and social hub. Property guests will also have access to the fully equipped Desaru Coast Conference Center and two championship golf courses designed by Ernie Els and Vijay Singh.
