If you’ve ever booked a group trip to Las Vegas, you may have experienced the angst of trying to plan events and attractions around everybody’s tastes and schedule. Now, Harrah’s Entertainment has launched Total Experiences, a complimentary program you might want to suggest to your clients seeking personalized service for their group vacation.
Total Experiences is available to groups of six or more who book at any U.S.-based Harrah’s Entertainment resort, including such Vegas stalwarts as Caesars Palace and Paris Las Vegas. The service is free, and guests pay only for what they book. Agents can book the hotel and airfare, and Harrah’s can provide the Total Experiences service. Harrah’s is currrently working on a program to include travel agents.
Veronica Smiley, director of marketing for Total Experiences, said the program was developed when the company noticed it was getting lots of requests for help with booking itineraries. “There is clearly a trend of people placing a high value on connecting and reconnecting with friends and family,” she says. “Part of that is being able to relax and enjoy the trip—including getting ready for the trip.” The program, she says, is “a one-stop service to provide not only trip-planning but also to offer insider advice to help navigate the choices available in terms of rooms, dining, entertainment, special touches and how to celebrate an occasion.”
Each group gets its own Total Experiences Specialist, who handles the itinerary both before and during the stay. The specialist will customize an itinerary based on the group’s interests and budget, including booking all reservations (even at exclusive nightclubs and restaurants), offering insider recommendations and arranging VIP privileges (such as VIP check-in, access to private lounges, VIP club entry, celebrity meet-and-greets, etc.).
Specialists can help arrange Girlfriend Getaways (with a VIP viewing at Chippendale’s, after-hours shopping and pedicures at Qua Baths & Spa); bachelor parties (with the best seats at the Pussycat Dolls Lounge in Caesars Palace); reunions (with dinner at Rao’s or a helicopter ride to the Grand Canyon); golf trips (with preferred tee times at courses such as Cascata); and destination weddings (specialists recently arranged a Rat Pack-themed wedding in the Absolut Suite at Caesars Palace).
