Hawaiian Airlines to Extend Popular Nonstop Service Between Los Angeles and Kauai

hawaiian airlines tail artHawaiian Airlines recently announced it will extend its nonstop service between Los Angeles and Lihue, Kauai, expanding on the popular seasonal routes the airline has offered during the peak summer travel period. 

Additionally, even more flights between Los Angeles and Maui and Kauai have been added from December 2015 to January 2016, offering an increased schedule with more flexibility for holiday travelers.

Hawaiian is currently operating on its summer schedule with four flights weekly between Los Angeles (LAX) and Lihue, Kauai (LIH). During the holiday season, flights will increase to five per week December 18 through January 4. Once the seasonal service ends in early January, Hawaiian will continue operating three weekly flights starting January 8, marking the first time direct service between LAX and LIH has been offered outside of Hawaiian’s seasonal schedule.

Hawaiian Airlines currently provides daily nonstop service between LAX and Kahului, Maui (OGG). Beginning December 17, a second flight will be added, operating four times weekly until January 3, adding close to 20,000 seats to both Los Angeles and Maui travel markets.

The LAX-OGG seasonal flight additions will be operated by Hawaiian Airlines’ wide-body Airbus A330-200 aircraft, seating 294 passengers. The LAX-LIH flight additions will be operated by Hawaiian Airlines’ wide- body, twin-aisle Boeing 767-300ER aircraft, seating up to 264 passengers.
