Hillary Rodham Clinton Tours Hawaii, Australia, New Zealand

On January 12. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton will deliver a speech in Honolulu on Asia-Pacific multilateral engagement. According to a statement given by spokesman Ian Kelly, the Secretary will also be consulting with Pacific Command.

From Hawaii, she will visit Papua New Guinea, New Zealand and Australia, between January 14 and 19. In Papua New Guinea she will hold bilateral meetings and meet with local leaders to go over environmental protection policies.

In New Zealand, Secretary Clinton will meet with Prime Minister John Key. Finally, in Australia she and U.S. Secretary of Defense Robert Gates will team up with Australia's Secretaries of State and Defense, Stephen Smith and John Falkner, for the 25th Australia-US Ministerial Consutaions, which will address global and regional security challenges.
