Hilton Worldwide Continues Growth in Mexico With Two New Hotel Signings in Queretaro

Hilton Worldwide announced it has signed two management agreements to operate a Hilton Garden Inn hotel in Queretaro and a Hampton Inn by Hilton property in San Juan del Rio – both in the state of Queretaro, Mexico.

Scheduled to open in the third and fourth quarters of 2012, respectively, the addition of these hotels will bring the total number of Hilton Worldwide properties operating in Mexico to 27.

Danny Hughes, senior vice president, Caribbean, Mexico and Latin America, Hilton Worldwide said, “We are thrilled to announce the signing of these two management agreements as they reinforce our serious commitment to growth in Mexico and Latin America. As part of our expansion efforts throughout the region, we plan to introduce our portfolio of brands to new markets and provide both business and leisure travelers with the best selection of properties throughout the country.”

Strategically located just a block from the main highway to Mexico City, guests of the Hilton Garden Inn Queretaro will find themselves just 10 minutes from key industrial parks and the historic center, two minutes from shopping and dining areas, and roughly 15 miles from the international airport. This four-story hotel will feature 102 guest rooms, a full service restaurant and bar, the 24-hour Pavilion Pantry shop, and meeting space, as well as all of the Hilton Garden Inn brand signature attributes such as complimentary high-speed Internet access and a 24-hour business center.

The new build Hampton Inn by Hilton San Juan del Rio in Queretaro, offering 92 guest rooms, will be located about 30 miles from the international airport and in the center of the city’s most important industrial zone, with renowned brands’ corporate offices nearby. Guests of the Hampton Inn by Hilton San Juan del Rio will have access to meeting space and the brand’s signature features such as free, hot breakfast, free high-speed Internet access and a stylish lobby with a zoned environment providing the ideal facilities for working, mingling or relaxing.

Both the Hilton Garden Inn Queretaro and the Hampton Inn by Hilton San Juan del Rio will participate in Hilton HHonors, a guest rewards program that allows members to earn Points & Miles for the same stay and redeem points for free nights with no blackout dates at more than 3,800 hotels worldwide.
