Hong Kong's Year of the Rabbit

Hong Kong is gearing up to welcome in the Year of the Rabbit on February 3 with a grand Chinese New Year festival on Victoria Harbour. The city will usher in Chinese New Year with a light show, fireworks, elaborate floats and performances.

First up, the annual Cathay Pacific International Chinese New Year Night Parade will roll through the streets, featuring international and local performers as well as elaborate floats. The following day a fireworks display will explode over Victoria Harbour. Local restaurants and hotels will add to the vibe of the atmosphere offering themed events and special menus.

The Conrad Hong Kong will host a Lion Dance and God of Fortune performance in its lobby on the first day of the New Year.

The InterContinental Hong Kong will offers special dinners and views of the harbor during the fireworks.

Traditionally the Year of the Rabbit is associated with home, family, artistic pursuits, diplomacy and peace.
