HTA Gets New VP of Fiscal Affairs

Here's a name to remember when reaching out to the Hawaii Tourism Authority: The HTA has named Doug Murdock as its new vice president of administrative and fiscal affairs. Murdock replaces Winfred Pong, who recently retired from the HTA after 31 years working with the State of Hawaii.

In his new role, Murdock will oversee and manage the HTA’s day-to-day operations, including administrative and fiscal management functions related to the HTA’s contracts and budget.

Prior to joining the HTA, Murdock specialized in government procurement and ethics law at Alston Hunt Floyd & Ing. He previously served in the United States Air Force as a judge advocate for 25 years, retiring with the rank of Colonel.

Murdock received his juris doctorate from the University of Washington, a master’s degree of public administration from Central Michigan University and a bachelor of science in economics from Portland State University. He served as a member on the Hawaii State Procurement Policy Board and is currently vice president of the Aloha Chapter of the National Contract Management Association.
