Hualalai Resort Changes Hands

The oceanfront Hualalai Resort on the Big Island has changed hands. Acquiring the 865-acre master-planned resort is a joint venture between an affiliate of MSD Capital, the private-investment firm for Michael Dell and his family, and Rockpoint Group, a global investment-management firm. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The upscale resort includes the 243-room Four Seasons Resort Hualalai, which will continue to be managed and operated by Four Seasons under the terms of the agreement already in place.
