Increasing Safety This Ski Season

It's all about "safety first" during the 2009-2010 ski season with Intrawest's increase in helmet awareness. The company announced Thursday that at all of its wholly-owned ski resorts in North America, helmet-use will be recommended to all skiers and snowboarders and will be mandatory for all children and youth participating in Ski and Snowboard School Programs.

A helmet will be included with all children/youth ski and snowboard rental packages. In future seasons Intrawest will require employees to wear a helmet at all times.

Helmet usage guidelines will be phased in at the following Intrawest ski resorts:
Copper Mountain, Colorado
Mountain Creek, New Jersey
Panorama Mountain, British Columbia
Snowshoe Mountain, West Virginia
Steamboat Ski Resort, Colorado
Stratton Mountain, Vermont
Tremblant Resort, Quebec
Whislter Blackcomb, British Columbia
Winter Park Resort, Colorado
