India Set to Welcome Leela Palace Kempinski New Delhi

The year 2009 has been a big one for India in terms of hotel openings. Now New Delhi is gearing up to welcome its newest five-star hotel, the Leela Palace Kempinski New Delhi, slated to open in time for the 2010 Commonwealth Games. The Games are scheduled for October 3.

The hotel, located in Chanakyapuri, the central business district, will feature 260 rooms, five suites, two bars, a spa by ESPA, fitness center and rooftop pool.

Dining options will include traditional Indian fare along with Japanese and Italian. For business travelers there will be several meeting rooms as well as a 5,800-square-foot ballroom.
