India to Benefit From Rezidor - Bestech Partnership

On April 2, Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, one of the world’s largest hotel groups announced a partnership with Bestech Hospitalities Pvt Ltd in India.

According to Simon C. Barlow, president, Asia Pacific, Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, “India’s middle class is expected to grow from 170 million in 2010 to close to 600 million by 2025.” Carslon Rezidor and Bestech are joining forces in response to this new and growing market that will require modern and affordable accommodation in the mid-scale hotel market.

Launched in 2003, Park Inn by Radisson is present in 33 countries, with 127 hotels currently in operation. The Park Inn by Raddison’s full service concept delivers modern essentials, bars, restaurants, and meeting and leisure facilities, is specifically designed for the Global Gen Y, who predominates India’s emerging middle class.  

Investing $42 million in the two Park Inn by Raddison hotel venture, with the goal of developing 49 more Park Inn by Radisson hotels by 2024, Bestech and Carlson Rezidor will have exclusive development and management rights.

The 11 states covered by the partnership are Chattisgarh, Chandigarh, Delhi, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu, Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Uttrakhand.
