Indonesia Prepares to Welcome First Holiday Inn Resort

The Holiday Inn Resort Baruna Bali will become the first location in Indonesia to have a Holiday Inn resort. The 195-room property, scheduled to open this March, is the only hotel in the area to have direct access to the beach.

The resort is in Tuban, a 10-minute drive from the international airport, within walking distance of Kuta’s shops and restaurants, 30 minutes from Denpasar, Balis capital city, and 60 minutes from Ubud, Bali’s artistic center. Room categories include Ocean Rooms, Garden Rooms and Family Suites. The resort will have a beachfront restaurant, spa, kid’s club, Internet café and departure lounge for outgoing guests.

General Manager Stéphane Varoquier has spent the last nine years as InterContinental Hotels Group regional director of hotel finance and business support for Southern Asia and Korea.
