Hilton Worldwide and Blackstone recently broke ground on a new 418-unit vacation ownership tower at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort. Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort also celebrated the completion of its newly restored, iconic Rainbow Mural on June 23 with a traditional Hawaiian blessing and dedication ceremony. The event was attended by media, local tourism officials, contractors and other dignitaries.  Hilton invested $4.25 million to ensure the two-sided mural, once named the world’s tallest mosaic when it was first revealed in 1968, would be an exact replica of the original designed by renowned artist Millard Sheets.The Grand Islander by Hilton Grand Vacations Club is slated for completion in early 2017. The 37-floor tower will be constructed adjacent to the Tapa Tower and will offer views of the Pacific Ocean and immediate access to the 22-acre oceanfront Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort. Moana Surfrider, A Westin Resort & Spa has completed renovations totaling nearly $21 million in enhancements to its rooms and snack shop. Supplementing these improvements, the hotel has also added a new club lounge. Renovations include a complete room refresh of 522 guest rooms and 36 suites in the Tower and Diamond wings. The Tower Wing’s renewal includes the creation of the new Penthouse at the Moana floor. Penthouse at the Moana features newly available and upgraded suites, including the Moana’s signature Pookela Suite, offering views of Diamond Head and Oahu’s south shore.
